History Behind OkDA
The Okere District Assembly is one of the 260 Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies in Ghana and forms part of the 33 Municipalities and Districts in Eastern Region.

The municipality is located in the southeast part of Eastern Region and has Adukrom as its capital town. There are seven principal towns that makes up the district (Abiriw, Dawsalomon u, Awukugua, Adukrom, Apirede, Aseseeso, Abonse)
