As part of the Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD) flagship project , the District Assembly has distributed enhanced palm seedlings to specific farmers.
The project aims to provide high-quality planting supplies to farmers, encourage the development of sustainable oil palm plantations, and open doors for better livelihoods and higher agricultural output in the district.
In order to guaranty the seedlings’ successful establishment and long-term productivity, beneficiary farmers were urged to plant and care for them appropriately. Additionally, the distribution is a component of larger initiatives to advance agriculture, generate jobs, and support rural economic growth.
The District Assembly is still dedicated to helping farmers and carrying out agricultural initiatives that enhance livelihoods and promote sustainable development within the district.
