The Okere District Assembly, through its Department of Agriculture, has successfully carried out a Feed Ghana sensitization and farmer group registration exercise in the communities of Nsuta Apirede, Kwasidiaka, Amashia, and Aboma.

The outreach aimed at educating farmers on the objectives and benefits of the Feed Ghana programme, including access to agricultural inputs, improved farming practices, extension services, and opportunities for group formation to enhance productivity and market access.

During the engagement, farmers were taken through the requirements for enrollment and were supported to form and register farmer groups to ensure effective coordination under the programme. The initiative was well-received, with strong participation from community members, traditional leaders, and local farmer associations.

The District Assembly remains committed to promoting agricultural development, increasing food production, and empowering farmers through continuous sensitization and support programmes.
