The Assembly, through the Department of Social Welfare and Community Development, has successfully disbursed support goods to persons with disabilities (PWDs) in the district. The project is part of a larger effort to promote inclusivity, enhance livelihoods, and enable recipients to participate in productive economic activity.
The products supplied comprised critical equipment and tools customized to the beneficiaries’ unique needs, with the goal of increasing their capacity for self-employment and daily living. Beneficiaries were chosen through a transparent procedure to guarantee fairness and that support reached those in greatest need.
During the exercise, authorities stressed the Assembly’s commitment to assisting underprivileged populations and urged recipients to make good use of the things to improve their socioeconomic situation. The intervention is expected to minimize dependency, enhance independence, and help the district’s overall growth.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the assistance, pointing out that the products obtained will considerably enhance their lives and allow them to participate more actively in communal life.
