DISTRICT CHIEF EXECUTIVE PAYS COURTESY VISIT TO OKUAPEMHENE DURING ADAI BUTUU CEREMONY

In a gesture of respect and commitment to traditional authority, the Okere District Chief Executive (DCE) Hon. Eric William Ayittey together with the Akuapem North Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Evans Ayerakwa Kumordzie paid a courtesy visit to the Okuapehene, Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III, during the observance of the revered Adai Butuu ceremony at Akropong. The visit, marked by cultural symbolism and mutual goodwill, underscored the importance of collaboration between local government and traditional leadership in promoting development and preserving cultural heritage.

The event took place on the 10th of September, 2025, present to grace the occasion were Christian Council of Churches now Economical Church, Akropong Muslim leaders, National Narcotic Board, and some traditional leaders from Benkum, Nifa and Annum. Nananom that graced the program were Nana Akusiku Brempong Saseraku VIII, Annum Wura, Nana Osahene Owusu Ntow IV Krotihene of Annum traditional area, Nana Amo Kotokoro Apedwahene, Nana Osagyefo Odame Akabisa, Tosen Makarado, Nana Ampaw Koronti Sanahene, Nana Akomani Gyewu Koronti Tufohene, Berima Osei Kwadwo, Annum Ahenemahene, Nanahemaa Osaebea Akyeampemhemaa, Nanahemaa Ama Adobea, Apedwahema, Abusiapehene Ofosu Kwaakye Okyeame Amponsah Omanhehe Kyeame. Also, representatives from the Ghana Education service, Immigration, and Ghana Revenue Authority were present.
