The occasion which took place at Okrakwadwo, brought together community members, government representatives, traditional leaders, and agricultural stakeholders to recognize the critical role farmers play in the growth of the country.

In spite of the difficulties brought on by climate change, growing input costs, and shifting market conditions, the District Chief Executive praised farmers in his speech for their tenacity, inventiveness, and dedication. He highlighted the government’s ongoing assistance with better seedlings, extension services, farm mechanization, and other agricultural initiatives meant to increase output.

A number of notable farmers received recognition for their exceptional achievements across a range of agricultural categories. Best District Farmer, Best Crop Farmer, Best Livestock Farmer, Best Women Farmer, Best Youth Farmer, and other special awards were given out. Farm equipment, inputs, and other awards were given to the overall Best Farmer in order to boost output.

Stakeholders promoted modern agriculture as a feasible and lucrative career path, encouraging young people to pursue it. An exhibition of farm produce, which highlighted the variety and caliber of agricultural goods produced in the district, marked the ceremony’s conclusion.
