The African Center for Parliamentary Affairs (ACEPA) sent a delegation to the Assembly’s Participatory Conference Hall on Friday, October 16, 2026.
The purpose of the visit, which was arranged as part of the Inclusive Legislature for Gender-Responsive Policies (ILGRP) initiative supported by Global Affairs Canada, was to test the Gender-Responsive Oversight Tool on the Livelihood Empowerment Against Poverty (LEAP) Program.
Enhancing gender-responsive monitoring, encouraging accountability, and guaranteeing inclusivity in the execution of social protection initiatives were the main goals of the engagement.
The project emphasizes how crucial cooperation is to promoting gender equality and enhancing the quality of life for marginalized groups.
